We all have a certain amount of energy to use per day. Measured in spoons, each task from getting out of bed, to working, to making dinner uses a certain amount of spoons which can vary from person to person. When a person's energy or spoons are low, then the person must either conserve their spoons and not engage in activities OR if necessary use their remaining spoons, but they will start the next day with a spoon deficit. Ever get up in the morning just as tired as when you went to bed? Yup that's a spoon deficit. When a person has run out of spoons, then they MUST retreat to recharge as they have no energy left.
